            Dr. Sessa was born and raised in Staten Island, New York.  He then attended Fordham University, excelling in the bio sciences, winning many awards for his efforts, and graduating with honors in 1993.  As such, he was accepted to the top ranked University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, again graduating with honors in 1997.  Dr. Sessa then pursued a career in Facial & Reconstructive Surgery at The Louisiana State University in New Orleans, ranked as one of the top two programs in the country.  Before continuing his residency in facial and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Sessa attended Medical School, earning his medical degree in three years.  He then proceeded with his specialized training until his matriculation in 2003.  During his residency, he participated in Neurosurgery, General Surgery, and Anesthesia. 

            With an eye for detail and a meticulous nature, Dr. Sessa’s skills and interests were leading him into the field of Cosmetic Surgery.  He applied and was accepted as a fellow with The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery & attended a year long Fellowship in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Only two candidiates are chosen for this highly competitive fellowship providing its surgeons with well over 700 cosmetic procedures.  Dr. Sessa was mentored by five Cosmetic Surgeons and two Plastic & Reconstructive surgeons. During his fellowship, he developed the SMART LIFT (trademark), a minimally invasive procedure specifically targeting the jowls and lower third of the face typically done with local anesthesia in about an hour.  This procedure is not a thread-only facelift, instead using the underlying tissues to sculpt the face.

Dr. Sessa is also well versed in state of the art breast lifting techniques using minimal incisions.  Also known as a Vertical lift, Dr. Sessa is able to sculpt the breast tissue into a more youthful appearance with a subsequent single scar below the nipple.  This procedure is usually done under local anesthesia with some minor sedation.
